Jim Gaffigan is an American stand-up comic. His routines often include him doing the voice of a supposed audience member commenting on his performance. He often begins his routines with, "Don't worry, I've never heard of me either."
Gaffigan began performing stand up comedy in New York City in 1991. In 2000 he had a short-lived series on CBS called Welcome to New York, which co-starred Christine Baranski and Sara Gilbert. That same year Gaffigan appeared on Comedy Central as part of his own one-hour Comedy Central Presents. The following year, Gaffigan starred in Ellen DeGeneres' short-lived second sitcom, "The Ellen Show." In 2003-2004 he appeared in several episodes of the television show "That '70s Show." Gaffigan has also appeared in the movie "Super Troopers."
In January 2006, Jim Gaffigan appeared on Comedy Central in a special entitled "Beyond the Pale." "Beyond the Pale" is available as Gaffigan's first DVD. Jim Gaffigan also appeared on Comedy Central in his own episode of Comedy Central Presents.
Gaffigan has appeared on Late Night with Conan O'Brien numerous times, often bringing episodes of Pale Force, a comedic short featuring a superhero duo (Gaffigan and O'Brien) and highlighting their mutual paleness.
On November 28th, 2006 Jim Gaffigan starred as Andy Franklin in the pilot episode of the TBS original series, "My Boys".
